Game is fun, although rather repetitive. Often when winning a chance to play a bonus game, no game will appear. The table will just stop functioning. No way to back out of it, all progress is lost. Other than that, Id rate it higher.

Good pinball game. The flippers are nice, long and have a good angles for smacking the ball and with good accuracy. I especially like playing the bonus games. There’s 2 main things to shoot for in this game, the spaceships on the bottom half or trying to get a bonus game at the top. Not a bad game at all. Has Multiball with ball lock too. Good all-around Pinball. Very happy with my purchase.

A clever concept - a pinball table with arcade games embedded within it - beautifully executed! I have this on my iPod Touch and it looks even better on the larger screen of the Mac. The colors are stunning, and as always with Gameprom, gameplay and controls are both smooth. Cool soundtrack too! And the arcade game aspect is unique and adds much to the fun of playing, this is a must for pinball fans!

Figured I give this a try since it was only 99 cents and wasnt expecting much. I was surprised by how polished this game is for the price as most other pinball games tend to charge $2-$3 per table. Plays smooth and offers a interesting theme - retro arcade games theme with a chance to play some popular classic "clone" games that are hidden in the table to unlock as you progress on the table. Nice job!! Worth a purchase if you are looking for a cheap game to entertain you for a little while or for a solid pinball game at a bargain price.

I got this game at the current version (which was, and ATM still is, 1.3) while running OSX 10.6.8.. it ran perfectly, and is a great game with lots of bells and whistles, so its definitely resource intensive. In fact, I really cant say enough about this one, it may well be the best Gameprom has put out yet. The arcade games inside of the pinball are way cool, and every detail is carefully thought out, including super responsive flippers and a perfect handling ball. Until , that is, I installed Lion. In Lion , the game is pretty much unplayable.. the flippers have a half second delay, the scroll is jerky and slow , and the ball creeps along. Exactly like Pinball HD version 1.8. Version 1.8 was apparently meant to increase ML compatability but it broke Lion compatability, with completely unresponsive flippers and a ball so slow you could go for a coffee before it reached the bottom of the table. I luckily found a copy I had backed up of version 1.7, which works flawlessly, so that was solved, but no possibility to do that with Arcade pinball. I should point out that Zen pinball, Pinball arcade, and all the others run perfectly on my Lion install so the problem is with Arcade pinball. I AM SURE that reverting to version 1.2 would fix the issue, because, like Pinball HD, this is a recent ML compatibility update, but I have been unable to get any kind of response from support. Until such time as I do, I cant give it more than 3 stars because fact is a lot of folks are NOT using Snow Leopard anymore, and I certainly would NEVER recommend it for Lion users. I luckily kept my SL partition, because Lion is horriible, and if I only had it I could no longer do half the things on my mac that I do every day, but thats another issue altogether. I installed it because of some apps minimum requirements only, but I dont want to have to boot between two OSs simply to play a Gameprom pinball. Its a real shame, because its possibly Gameproms best pinball ever. I think that they should respond to support requests also about this issue. PS.. I should like to point out, re the other review, that it is not $.99, but $3.99.. if the price went up since the update thats even worse, IMHO...

The update seems to slow the game down. I wish I could have the old version back.

The graphics are excellent. The game table itself is very nice. There are sub games in the center of the table which harken back to the 80’s. I am pleased with my puchase.

When I first saw this as an IOS game, my heart sank. Why keep all these gorgeous graphics cooped up on such a tiny screen? Gameprom hears and answers my silent prayer. Arcade Pinball is a loving homage to an era when we all endured the so-so fare at Chuck E. Cheese just to play the latest arcade games. As usual, Gameprom keeps the realistic physics and beautifully rendered table including an LCD panel where you play a space-shooter video game while keeping the ball away from the drain, but just when you least expect it, virtual reality becomes digital fantasy, like a Breakout-inspired game-within-the-game that could never exist in real life. The new environment surrounding the table makes it even more of a feast for the eyes. Your humble critic has yet to discover all the game has to offer but for the price, its like taking home a pinball machine after playing just 8 50-cent games.
